Hey-
I'm pretty new here and am working on 3 different Valiants. 63,64, and 66. Anyway, I pulled the front clip off of the 64 yesterday and was going to unbolt and remove the crossmember support frame for the radiator. I got the front clip off and the damn thing is all welded together. So I think to myself "what the hell?" Howam I supposed to get that out of there. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

Yeah, the inner fenders and rad support are spot welded together at the factory. They're spot welded to the firewall and to the shock tower. Nothing surprising there. Just drill out the spot welds and it'll come out.

Can anyone tell me what the name of this piece is called and if there are any replacement ones out there? thx

Core support

Fig has it correct.. The only replacement parts out there are used. If you're working on a 64, the radiator opening on yours is for the 19 inch radiator. If you can't straighten yours, you might want to consider replacing it with a 65 or 66 22 inch core support. Shameless plug: I am in the process of removing the 22 inch one from my 65 Dart I'm parting out. If interested, drop me a PM.
