318s are cool and if you don't think so you might not be cool.
A mopar is a mopar by any other name still a mopar318s are cool and if you don't think so you might not be cool.
Yeah but if it is slow its a "Moper"A mopar is a mopar by any other name still a mopar
Yeah but if it is slow its a "Slopar"
Clearly you know very little about a 318 if you think they are unique vs the other la engines. They share pretty much everything except bore size with the 340!

I like 318s they have a ton of potential for cheap and are everywhere easy to find and cheap. I have 3 360s 4 if you count the one in my dart but my next build is gonna be a mean 318!nah, i get all that
my point is, why bother with a 318 if you can build a 360?
(and ill say the same for the 340 vs 360 debate, but thats a different argument)
My mother had a 76 (I think) Dart with a 225. We beat the hell out of that motor. It was pig slow but just wouldn't quit. It was like, "Change the oil? Why, there's still some in it."I know that the reason for the slant was to obtain a lower hood and fender line. But the old slantie is a very reliable engine. I’ve seen it in everything from gensets to combines
That's the "no brainer". But what if someone wants to use brains????nah, i get all that

It's all about the "cool" factor... IT'S HIP !!!I like 318s they have a ton of potential for cheap and are everywhere easy to find and cheap. I have 3 360s 4 if you count the one in my dart but my next build is gonna be a mean 318!
Sure, you wanna use your brains, build a 318That's the "no brainer". But what if someone wants to use brains????
No matter what you say...... No matter how much you spent on your 408.... Right now 318's are like Chrome sunglasses in the late 70'sSure, you wanna use your brains, build a 318
Thought Chrysler bought the slant 6 design from General Motors. I could be wrong. But thought I read that somewhere.
My 318 Duster still has the stock heads, valves, pistons, crank, rods, block, and all the factory rod bearings, cam bearings, crank bearings AND the ORIGINAL 318 oil pump!!!! Besides,, he admitted bottle rocket was his first time down 318 lane!!! Me, I was 318, when 318 wasn't cool....I dunno man I still say saying "318" when really the only thing 318 is the short block is a bit deceiving...and Ill clarify by saying short block means the block and crank...I pretty sure UTG is dickering around with a whole stock 318 with a cam and 4 barrel and that's it but I am not 100% on that. He's probably the most genuine in this "318s are cool " campaign.

You knew I was cool before you knew I had a 318.
I refer you to post number 13.
Yeah UTG is ok but correct me if I wrong didn't he "speculate" 10s with that B body and a 318? even in 1/8 mile that's slow IMO. I've had B bodies and I wouldn't go no less than a 383 in one of them.My 318 Duster still has the stock heads, valves, pistons, crank, rods, block, and all the factory rod bearings, cam bearings, crank bearings AND the ORIGINAL 318 oil pump!!!!
