Good result (exc. the tranny). For $45 you can buy a new ready-to-run distributor (ebay). Another $20 gets an e-core coil to make it work better. Better spark and minimal fussing. Another option is an electronic Mopar distributor (1972+) connected to a GM 8-pin HEI & coil ($20 dep. on junkyard, 85-95 V-8 trucks). Personally, I would have used the engine computer and distributor that came w/ the Magnum engine. That would give you crank-fired HEI spark, which would never change. Just leave the fuel injector connectors unused or strip that harness out if you will stay with a carburetor.
