New Proform electronic ignition kit, new flame thrower coil, and new pertroix "stock look wires"
Yes problems started after these parts were installed

Do you have the model number for the Pertronix coil? There is a 1.5 ohm primary resistance one that should be used with the ProForm kit with the ballast resistor, and there is a 3 ohm primary resistance Flamethower that is not to be used with the ballast.

Also, please measure the resistance of the ballast resistor when cold (and with with the wires disconnected at one end) and let us know.

Looks like I got the correct coil. . I will take the readings you asked for tomorrow. Thanks
