Mike called and let me know some were worried about me. Well i've been deer hunting and shooting all the other stuff that gets in the sights and oh.......the wife wouldn't let me out of the bedroom for a few days after the anniversary. All turned out ok and i'm still able to sit up and take a liitle nourishment so i'll make it. Told Vic today that i haven't been on for a week or so now here i am. Still jerkin with the MOPARS. Great to be missed.

I won't start processing till season is over. Don't want to mess up the grinder and the slicer twice. Got two hangin but there will be more. Vic and i walked up to the stand this evening about 5 and we scared off 5. Have to get up there earlier tomorrow. Did get a turkey today though. Just took it of the grill a few minutes ago and man it is good. Lots of does and seein how i'm meat hunting that will work for me. Bought enough jerky season to do 200 lbs and lots of sausage casing and spices. If you guys need any spices i have a wholesale place that will mail it to ya. He's in Oxford, Arkansas. Best there is. I'll have to send you a taste when i get it done.

.......this morning with Vic. He ask me if wild turkey had that same chemical in it that tame turkeys had. I ask him what chemical was that. He named some name that i didn't know of and he said that's why when you finish a turkey meal you want to hit the recliner and go off to sleep. Ha! I told him that thing those women have must have the same chemical in it cause after you get done all you want to do is roll over and go to sleep. He's gone right now but when he gets back i'll find out what he calls it.............He's back. He called it Triptafan or some variation of that spelling or pronunciation.
 
Tryptophan! It is a naturally occurring amino acid(protein) that is in turkey and lots of otheer stuff. It does seem to help make you drowsy...along with the overeating we do at Thanksgiving. Increases Serotonin in the brain, along with Melatonin...both give us warm happy sleepy feelings.... ahhh goodnight honey! LOL

Got another doe last night so the jerky pile is getting larger. It's only wednesday. 7 more days till it's over then muzzle loader season the archery till January. So far they are head shots only. Don't have to deal with blood shot meat.

What zone are you in Small Block ? I am in zone 5 and it is archery till January with a muzzle loader season some time, I will have to look.
You have a longer modern gun hunt up there in Missouri then I do here.
Just last week end and one for Thanks Giving and Christmas.

Now is the really big question that MOST of us are looking for. What is it that they put in weding cake that makes women loose their sex drive????????????????????????????????????????????????
 
Small Block it sounds like you are really gettin LUCKY!!!!!!! Keep up the good work. Hey put me on the taste test list. If it's anything like your grillin at St Louis it should be awesome. Jeff
