Just got screwed on a cable set up for the 65. I ordered a conversion kit, they told me about 4 weeks to build and ship for $195. Well, after 5 weeks, I sent them an email asking the status of my order. They said the shipment was going out that week.. So another 2 weeks go by. Sent another email, no reply. So I got paypal involved to see if they could find out what was going on. Found out today they refunded my money. Really needed that cable. WTF is going on with people not doing their job? now I don't know what to do. I guess I may try for a Hurst promatic, Really needed that cable set up from them.

When you open a PayPal case the merchant has little choice but to refund if the goods haven't been shipped, otherwise PayPal will just take it anyway. It sucks that you won't be getting your part and they should have communicated with you for sure.

I have used them on ebay purchases. Paypal usually finds out the stauts on what I ordered. whether its being shipped, or lost in shipment. I have used Paypal several times. And have only had my money refunded 2 times. I was hoping they would have had it ready to ship by now, and Paypal would hurry them along.

had a similar issue years back because they were "moving" was having a shifter updated and never got charged but never saw my shifter. and i was out shipping too. good thing i doubt ill ever get the car done

My take on a lot of these small volume vendors is that they are probably just hobbyists like us who's day job or life sometimes get in the way. Schumacher seems to be their current outlet. Maybe it would be best to contact them as they would know if a particular part was currently available or when the next batch was due. I guess the next time 64-65 console conversion cables are confirmed to be available, I'd better grab one...

Have you guys checked their web site lately? It states on their home page that they are not going to take any more orders from individuals. Check it out...

Makes sense. They make good products. Maybe they can make quantity and sell them to dealers so we can get what we need faster. I'm sure they had the capability to produce about anything but only made those pieces when a order came in. Not very efficient to make one off parts as the orders roll in. And to Red Cuda, you didn't get screwed. You got your money back. tmm

My guess is they've decided to focus on the fabrication, and let someone else (Schumacher) focus on the marketing.

Red Cuda, This happened to me too. I got my parts 3 YEARS AFTER I ORDERED.The parts were paid for up front. I gave up and moved on after calling every few weeks for the first 10 months. Then I would e-mail every few months after and never got a reply. In the 3rd year I finally got a responce that my name is now on the top of the list. How's that for service ! I was told that they got their act together, Looks like, NOT...

The best contact that I had for them is:

steve@promerican.com

The phone number and email that is listed on their web site is as useless as a screen door on a submarine.... :violent1:
