Inner sactum oil galley plug

-
When the plug under the main cap is left out it doesn't send all the oil out to the filter. I usually don't take that one out as you can get to both sides of it.

The threaded plug that is at the end of the drivers side lifter gallery should come out so you can get it clean. If you forget to install it you'll have very low or no oil pressure.
I only took mine out on this build because I wanted to verify the size of the drilled hole which I am glad I checked because it was not drilled to 1/2 inch all the way. I drilled the hole and installed new plug with green loctite and verified the position.

What size are these little non-threaded plugs under the rear cap and where does one find them to purchase?

Not 100% sure but I think 9/16. I know after I drilled the passage to 1/2 inch there was not much of the original step left to position the new plug so I think it was 9/16 inch.

I think mine is 9/16 of an inch and I got them from O'Reilly's Auto. The Restriction was above the two lines were this plug goes on mine. So where I actually drilled the Restriction out was about 3/4 of an inch above where the plug goes so I never touched where it seats.
