Anyone who has done this swap, wondering if the braking requires conversion to
power assist. Need to order a new master so if this conversion requires require booster,
what booster and master cylinder was used?

Thanks in advance.

I have them on my 64 Polara and 67 Barracuda. No power assist and I used the Wilwood master on both.

Depends on you and the bore diameter of your master cylinder. Even the smallest cars today have a brake booster (all cars have front disk since ~1973). Perhaps for women drivers or to satisfy lawyers. They put boosters on most front disk cars in the 1960's, so hard to say "not needed", like some here do. If you later want certain headers, you can't fit a booster, ditto for a big-block (plus lose power steering).

A booster isn't always needed. The OE's use them to "tune" the pedal feel, short travel firm but low effort pedal feel. That's a very difficult thing to get without a booster.

I run without one. I *think* that the m/c that I'm using is a D100's, which is actually a power m/c, but since I had to make the push-rod anyway I made it so that it can't come out unintentionally.
