Intake for 1965 273

? for the experts. Can you modify a 1966 and up aluminum intake manifold to fit 1965 heads?

If you are wiling to wallow out the bolt holes to modify the angle, yes. The ugly enlarged holes can be hidden by flat washers.

Has anyone performed this surgery? If so, were the results satisfactory?

I used to do it regularly when 273s were more common. Did it for friends cars too, even with iron manifolds. (66 &67 four barrel 273s to the 64 -65) I'm sure others on here have done it with good results as well.

Get an Edelbrock D4B, it's made to fit those heads and application...
