"In a previous" area, I used to fiddle around with manual focus lenses. This was quite a hobby for some of us for awhile. I was in St Vinnies today on a whim, and there, in the bottom of the camera/ related display, is a Tamron Adaptall-2 28mm f2.5. Bought it for the incredible sum of 16.96
Tamron made Adaptall and Adaptall-2 lenses back in the day for manual cameras, the idea being that a dealer could stock "one set" of lenses, and then the lens mount (the Adaptall part) went onto the rear of the lens, bought to fit whatever your camera is. So the lens per se doesn't fit any camera at all, but rather, must have an Adaptall mount to fit
This one came with a Pentax K electronic adapter, which by itself is worth a buck or two, because it will fit newer Pentax bayonet mount cameras and will "talk" to the camera regarding aperture setting. (Not focus, that part is manual)
NOW I have to find My Canon EF mount adapter so I can play with the thing. This lens is in really nice shape and in fact may be new
Here is a website someone maintains with specs on the Tamron stuff. There is the predecessor, "Adapt-o-matic" which is the same idea but much different, and then Adaptall, and the newer Adaptall-2. Some of these lenses are not much worth dragging home, and some are pretty fair depending on what you paid. I still have a number of them around here

Not a superior lens, but certainly worth the 17 bucks!!
Tamron Adaptall-2 28mm F/2.5 Model 02B
The green numerals are feet, and the 1 foot mark is coming into view. What you cannot see is, this thing will focus clear down to 8--10 INCHES from the subject
