Iron head welding

Thanks. I think ill go for it.
Splash zone....or
I've run it on the street for years now.
I went paper thin on a couple pinches on my maxed j heads and this **** works.
Don't bother welding and blowing through the port... just poke a hole and apply it so it goes through then some on the back side as well. Sandwich it .

On a w2 yo shouldn't need to go that thin in the window. There some issue if so. That's usually a stock head maneuver..and even then not necessary as it turns out I've learned.

Me?
I did no porting work on this head.

Someone was overzealous with there porting. Broke through into pushrod area.

Not naming names but I know a guy that has done this too.
I’ll admit I screwed up a set of aluminum heads when trying to clearance for roller cam pushrods and I asked for your help in fixing them. So far, it’s been a beautiful thing! All is good on my ProMaxx CNC’d Shocker heads!

But I’m not taking credit for this set since I didn’t mess them up. I’m honest enough to come forth and say it if I did it.

Below are the shocker heads showing my blunder. I cut the grass tubes and practiced on the pushrod tubes that didn’t need it and the. Went on to the ones that did. It was as you said it would be. The job was relatively easy to do and quickly done.

Has anyone ever tried spray welding? I took a welding course long long time ago and used this to repair several heads and it worked great but never used it again. I’ll look to see if I can find my material on it.
