Is there a flexible fitting which connects to the condenser drain on the factory air?

I am adding factory air to my Demon, and am not clear about the condensate drain setup. I noticed that the 3/8" copper tube does not penetrate the firewall, which leads to my question: what should a properly installed drain tube look like? Is there a rubber grommet, or an elbow of some sort? Photos would be appreciated!

Thank you for the reply. So, does the copper drain tube simply feed through a grommet then?

Also, I noticed that there is almost an inch of space between the back of the heater box and the firewall - and the copper tube on my heater box does not penetrate the firewall; I guess I'll have to extend the tube.

I added factory air to my 65 Dart (which I'm now parting out) and the drain tube extended about 1/2 inch beyond the firewall. I would think your drain should extend beyond the firewall, otherwise it would drain on the floor.

Do you have the correct firewall for factory a/c build ? They aren't the same.

The drain pan on my 69 setup had a 3/8 tube with a seal ( it looks like pipe insulation). The seal pressed against the firewall and the tube just stubbed through.

My car is originally a non-A/C car, so I have had to modify the firewall to accommodate the A/C heater box (enlarge blower motor hole, add holes for mounting studs, plug one of the insulation nail holes).

So far, the only hiccup has been getting the condensate drain tube to line up and penetrate the firewall.

Thanks for the suggestion - but what is a "blower motor black vent tube"?

(I am assuming that it has a 90 degree bend in it)
