My '71 FC7 Plum Crazy Demon has a somewhat reddish purple trunk lid. Does anyone know if this reddish purple color was a factory Mopar color? I'm not finding it in paint chip photos, but am not sure what year the trunk lid is from either. The first picture is the Plum Crazy, the second picture isthe unknown color.

It looks like factory paint, on the underside of the trunk lid. The remnants of the factory tire change instruction sticker are still stuck to it..

my old house i had a single bay seperate from the other two i would paint in
painted this hood for a car i was flipping ....it came out that color ...i went to put it on the car ....car was more of a rusty-red ...oops

There was a Burgundy E7 in 71

E7 was Burnished Red Poly... Yeah, Burgundy describes it pretty well but it looks nothing like the color shown above.... I should know, pops ordered a new Chrysler that color through the base exchange in Adana Turkey before transferring back to the US... Absolute lemon.....He'd been a loyal Chrysler owner prior to that... Last Chrysler he ever bought... You might forgive Chrysler for selling a Lemon... But the way they refused to fix anything and ran the warranty out sealed the deal...

My 84 Daytona was a lemon
Speedo broke on the way home
It spent more time at the dealer Then any other car i know ....the year I got rid of it they came out with the lemon law
It was a great looking car ....after I bought it I found a old motor trend mag with it on the cover the color was red in the bright sun
Burgundy when dark
