My 1967 inland shifter also has the little T for the reverse lockout. Never seen one with out it. Maybe yours is older? Good luck with the sale.

that's not an Inland...Inland shifters had very large black knob with T-handle under it that you had to pull up on to find reverse

Not all of them them had a t handle. Later models it was eliminated.
