I have a 72 340 demon, and it started a few months back you could start the car and stop and go to start it and it would click, like the terminals was loose. Turn terminal on the ground side and it would start, did that 3 or 4 times now it has nothing but everything works, lights, horn wipers, etc. but you turn the switch to start the car and it has nothing not even a click just like it does not have a battery in the car. I replaced the started relay and nothing so I was thinking the igination switch is next, anyone have this problem??? Any help is appreciated, Randy
 
It could be a bad ground. Even with a bad ground you can get lights gauges etc to work and still not start. Other possibility is the ignition switch. Good luck
 
did you try jump starting the car? if that works replace the battery. i would start there as its alot easier to check.
 
I would start with new battery terminals and clean connections. Turning a loose terminal on the battery post also moves the cable so the fault could be there.
 
Thank You all for your help but the winner is Snake. It was the neutral safty switch. New battery and new cables, nothing. Changed the switch and it fired right off. Thank You all for taking the time to answer, there is nothing more aggravating than something like this. It could be anything, but if you have been there and done that, there is nothing like experience. Thanks Again, Randy8)
