I know a framing square is a regular damn slide rule if you "learn" how to really use it.

It certainly is amazing what can be accomplished with a framing square. The old guy that taught me was in my mind a genius-but not a patient one. But maybe his student wasn’t the sharpest pencil in the rack

And now yet another annoying story from the old days. This boat, is no more, was a "work boat" on the Priest Lake, N Idaho. See those 4 round windows? My Gramps built the cabin for that boat, and of course cut those by hand with a keyhole saw. So 4 plywood cores, nice, high quality marine plywood. My Mom, both Grammas, and my Aunt all got 1 of the cores which they used for decades for a "chopping block" in the kitchen

And no, LOL, I don't know what Gramps used to draw those circles!!

I think maybe I might have gotten to see that boat when I was very very young, maybe 5-7-8 or so. By the time "I cared" it was gone. There used to be more info on the internet but I cannot find it now
