Just my luck....

I recently completed all my dealership training for Nissan, and I've had all my ASE's including the L-1, so I'm now considered a Platinum Nissan Master technician. Yeah...yeah...I know. It just means I stayed awake in class and passed a few tests. I don't consider myself a master at anything. Except rotten luck....

I was just informed that my wife & me are being flown out to Las Vegas for an awards dinner, jacket, ring, cash, plaque, yadda-yadda-yadda.... all on Nissan's dime! Airfare, hotel, EVERYTHING! And you know when?

Two weeks BEFORE Mopars at the strip in March.


I went out to Vegas 3 yrs. ago and managed to hit the Mopars at the strip show while we were there. And I'll just miss it this spring !


Oh, BTW: My car? STILL sitting! I spoke with a shop out in Deer Park, Long Island that's interested in doing it. I have references and will see their work next Wed. If all is good, I show up with a flatbed, along with about 5 friends, and retrieve my car, parts, and cash. If all don't go as planned, watch the news for a serial killer in N.Y.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the free trip. But only if it was 2 weeks later....


I know....I'm a knob for even thinking of it this way. :tool:


And as for my car, I don't even want to get started on that rant. To say I'm not happy is a gross understatement.....
