Hello all
I am looking for a 360 block for a warm street Dart (67-72), looking toward stroker. I currently have LA Eheads and RPM airgap, Ehead ARP hardware. I would like to stay with the LA roller block to use the stuff I have. Questions are:
Years of LA roller 360? 89 to 91 only?
Do they have the taller lifter bores like a Magnum?
Do they use Magnum cams and electric fuel pump, or mechanical? Or roller LA only cam?
Can I use stock Eheads and springs with a mild/warm roller cam?
Any oiling mods I should consider? Do they use LA oiling?
Looking to hit 500 hp. 12's in 1/4 would make me smile. Faster would make me smile more. I know this is possible with a 360 but I am leaning heavily to stroker for streetability.
I am not fond of high stall converters and short gears. I want a somewhat warm street car I can race, not a race car that sorta can go on the street.
Stock type TC (5 or 6 speed also an option), 3.23 gears or even into the 2.XX range. 6000 RPM is more than sufficient for me, I tend to drive everything like a diesel anyway.
Thanks all
Eric
