The fish ducks and river otters keep it pretty cleaned out and its virtually land locked from the river though it does go up and down with the river. Sometimes the fishing is real good after a good flooding. The trout try to get back to the river when the level drops but they cant get past that big old beaver dam. Pretty interesting little body of water. We see tons of wildlife.

...even with my beat up nose ( I took yesterday off at the Mrs request) I am back after the Dart today for a couple hours til my nephew shows up. He stops EVERYTHING!

I use to be a fire fighter long ago, and new at it was on a house checking out a chimney fire that was now not bellowing out fire and decided to stick my face above the chimney to see if it was out. Well first second was I saw the mortar around the brick was glowing red hot then the next second My facial hair was sizzling and burnt the crap out of my head. Then the owner of the house was sticking his head down the chimney to see what I wish I did't see. yep funny now. The other fire fighter that was on the roof with me was laughing his as- off.

Ice fishing is well under way here and soon the ice will be 3' deep. You guys wanna get to gather and head south till spring?

I understand the sentiment however. Marines were quite cruel with each other with what our twisted minds found humorous sometimes.

Not laughing Jeff Just trying to cheer you up, and maybe give you a hard time because I am way far away from you kicking my as-s. lol
You bet boys are hard on each other I remember a friend of mine took a baby buggy that his mom threw away and jurry rigged some independent brakes on the back wheels and put his little brother in it and sent him down a real steep windy road. We all was sitting at the top of the hill watching to see what would happen. Well the older brother said glad my little brother was in it instead of me as the poor little kid didn't make it around the first corner and crashed.
Sure had a lot of fun as a kid.

I'll bet it feels a lot different around there with that big tree removed. Especially next summer. Why did you remove it?

Hi BP...the tree was planted in 1956 when this house was built. It has dropped some big branches in the past. About 5yrs ago we had a huge ice storm and the one main branch bent right down and the small branches were literally almost to the ground. They did return back to where they were once all the ice melted. We hated to cut it down as it was the main feature of the backyard and provided beautiful shade over our deck so it will be missed.

Ya I think that was a good call. Birch around here don't seem to live that long. Those ice storms can really raise some hell.

Ok, spent ALL day fighting with my radio in the shop. All I want is decent reception on the FM band. I guess I have to just give in anf go to internet radio. Problem is that a stereo receiver does not receive internet and I guess I need to cypher how. Phone is probably the easiest way.

How do you guys in the big freezer deal with that? I'm sure you don't have too many radio stations to choose from!

Buy yourself some little Logitech speakers with the subwoofer. download padora app. I can pick up my wifi in my shop. Rock out. or comedy I use my puter too. Most radio stations are doable on the internet. Listened to North Dakota kick Montana states *** on my computer today. Gotta buy the beer for that. Ha

Cool thing about using the phone is it will interrupt and ring over the speakers when someone calls or texts.

Mine sucks only one rock station I get with a home made antenna. I use spotify and is great. Still learning how to use it but can pick out any song I want cost is about 8 bucks a month just plug my cell phone into the stereo and good to go.

Good friend too. She is going to demand she pays for it. I don't guarantee rust repair but this was a new fender replacement and I dropped the ball. Did it to my own car too. Learned my lesson. I really have not done a lot of painting.

You guys have been busy. From some of the stories we are lucky to still have ya`all around due to health issues. I was junkyarding again today. Picked up some rims for the demolition derby cars. Got almost all of the Cadillac interior stripped. Now for some cold ones in front of the wood burner.

Nothing done on my car but got a hair cut and food shopping done and even made dinner and cleaned up. I am the man of the house and the mom so house work is my job but my car is getting started on real soon.

The derby is August but right now we have nothing to do on the farm so cars now and farm in spring.

Since I already have a good reciever and speakers out there I guess I will have to buy a jack adapter to go into the receiver from my phone. No, the jack I am thinking of is for headphones.
