Direct to metal BP?
Sometimes Jeff. I was referring to new panels. The coating from the factory is porous and if it doesn't get coated with something, its gonna rust. Most shops are gambling that the person is going to get a different car before they have to honer any warranty.

Im telling ya brother those little logitech speakers sound great and are cheap.

No doubt, but the Bose speakers are free!N

The Logitech on my computer sound real good. I'm half deaf anyway from jet engines!

From some of the stories we are lucky to still have ya`all around due to health issues

Gettin old sucks CF, but it sure beats the alternative!

The derby is August but right now we have nothing to do on the farm so cars now and farm in spring.
I'm always trying to get my derby buddy to flip his rear end over. Three gears in reverse. Fill the gas tank with a sand slurry. Like a dead blow hammer.

BP, I ask because I am taking most all of my Dart to bare metal. I was originally planing to epoxy the whole thing and then remove in spots where the body work is needed to get the filler direct to metal.o

That seems to be a controversial thought sometimes.

I already have a 2 gallon (1:1) kit of Nason DTM epoxy.

Its been a long time since I heard of the flipped axle. I never tried it. Here the old tank has to be removed to run so we couldnt do the slurry thing. Many years ago I did fill the back tires like we do tractor tires. I could sure push people around then and hit pretty hard but when I cut a tire one year the flagman got wet and they outlawed filled tires.

Humidity is a huge factor. Bare metal(yes aluminium too) corrodes immediately. The window for getting a DTM product on it is 8 hours from when it is sanded. I assume North Carolina is pretty humid. If it sits longer than 8 hours, re-sand it. 80 grit good. sandblasted is best.
Do it in sections if need be. I'm assuming all epoxy products having the same properties. If you don't coat it with something within 5 days at 70 degrees Fahrenheit it needs to be sanded and recoated with more epoxy. It dries slow. My paint rep says to wait 3 days to coat it and at least over-night.

For sure BP bare metal should not be exposed to long without being coated over.

Hey Fred. Did you see where North Dakota State kicked the snot out of Montana State.
52-10 I'm not a big sport fan. Just thought it was interesting.

Not a big sport fan here BP I haven't had TV in my house since 1982. I do have netflex and DVDs.
Wow big difference in score but not thinking that we are better just got lucky.

I listened on the radio. Well my computer on a radio station. Lucky LOL. That North Dakota offense is huge. They scored every time they had possession. Nice to listen to something different while in the shop.

Sure is nice to do work at home I like the idea of using my own bathroom and listening to what I want.
Sounds like North Dakota did real good BP must be a bunch of farm boys that are use to throwing hay bales. lol

I threw a few bails. A lot of things are making me think you are a tough man.

Ok, spent ALL day fighting with my radio in the shop. All I want is decent reception on the FM band. I guess I have to just give in anf go to internet radio. Problem is that a stereo receiver does not receive internet and I guess I need to cypher how. Phone is probably the easiest way.

How do you guys in the big freezer deal with that? I'm sure you don't have too many radio stations to choose from!
I got a long piece of speaker wire and split the two wires into a "T" and run it up into the rafters and onto the back of the receiver. I get lots of stations that way. worth a try.
