These inverter machines are sooo smooth. Start up is amazing. Versatility is crazy. I can patch up your rusty Valiant or build a trailer.

Because I picked valiant rather it picked me they don’t make body panels for that damn car I heard that duster rear quarters will work just the lowers in the rear ,the rear trunk extension are supposed to be the same have you had any experience with them ?

Nope. Chevy truck box sides have worked well for me. Visit your local body shop. Not the extensions so much. Fab them yourself.

I will try I know a guy .lol
I edited my post . I was referring to the outer panel. Fabricating the inner can be easy cause it is flat. Screw those lines they put it em. Come on guys. What we do these cars is going to last forever if we don't drive em in the winter elements.

Found 52 cents in the 1/4 panels a rubber band and a Budweiser beer tag. lol
I could't get my self to use any other car but Mopar for patch panels and couldn't find one I could cut up SOOO my old Maytag dryer lid was just the right thickness.
Don't tell on me guys. lol
Way back my friend's dad had a 60 Dodge. The rear 1/4's had rust down the bottom in the usual places behind the rear wheels. He used a plastic bleach bottle on both sides. He cut the bottle up and the curve was exactly the same as the metal panel. He pop riveted them in put some bondo on it and painted them and looked good till he finally took it off the road.

View attachment 1715257305 This was at one of my boys wedding I am the old soaked and wet guy. Was raining and I am the one to bring the cake in without getting it wet. Cake did good but not me. lol
All my kids and grand kids but missing 3 grand kids. Tell your wife we will be over for dinner and we like Prime Rib. That should freak her out BP.
Wow that's quite the gang Fred. Great looking family by the way. Your wife would be proud for sure.

Good day. Got more done this morning than I did all day yesterday. Damn computer is more addicting than the whiskey.
What kind of blaster you getting Fred. I bought a cheap Harbor Freight pressure blaster that works pretty good. I had to re-attach the hose and double clamped it this time. That was a year ago and I'm still finding media in places I did not know existed.

Couldn't find a small blaster and don't need a big one so I had an old under coating gun and tin cup and it is working just fine for a sand blaster.
I am using POR-15 on the inner 1/4 so will take some time to be able to weld in the patches for every thing to dry good.

When I was taking off the old control arms and banging away sand started coming out of some of the crevices in the frame . I was sort of surprised after all this time .

I think after sandblasting you could spend a complete day blowing the sand off and not get it all.
Just finished using the POR-15 prep on my car 1/4s now when it's all bone dry I will put the top coat on and let it dry over night and should be able to weld new metal in tomorrow.
Damn FOG I sure hope I can finish it and enjoy it before I'm dead. lol

That POR-15 is amazing stuff. I did a battery tray the other day and dripped a bit on the OSB plywood I was using for a table. That POR-15 turned that OSB into the toughest piece of wood on the planet.
