I know you asked Cf but I do have some experience with DOT 5. DONT USE IT. We used it in the limo and had to flush the system. Never could get a hard peddle. It is full of microscopic air bubbles and is impossible to get the air out. Especially on that large system. Their is no real benefit to it. There is a lot of info on-line and most of it is bad.CF you ever try dot 5 brake fluid in a vehicle ?
Never used it and like BP says I never will.CF you ever try dot 5 brake fluid in a vehicle ?
Thanks for the info BP , really wasn't sure about trying it. You saved me a lot of work .
Ya, I'm not sure who is using it or why. I guess we need to flush our systems with new fluid every few years and never have a problem. Thanks for the info BP , really wasn't sure about trying it. You saved me a lot of work .

Ok dot3 boils at aprox 375 deg dot 4 aprox 425 and dot 5 is silicone based not compatible with 3or4 , stick to 3 and flush every couple years to get rid of moisture .Thanks for the info BP , really wasn't sure about trying it. You saved me a lot of work .
