Morning guys.
Just got into bed last night and settling down and the sky opened up and did it ever rain along with thunder and lightning.
It was raining hard about 30 minutes ago as well.
Got some running around to do for when the family comes tomorrow.
Always love family gatherings especially when the 4 grandsons are around.
Have a wonderful day whatever you do.
 
Went to Costco right after lunch.
Holy crap everyone and their brother was out today.
Had to drive around and around to find a parking spot.
It's always busy but never seen it that bad.
 
Picked up an 09 Sebring with 53000 miles for 200 and a complete front clip for 500 I just need to paint and assemble it now

I bought that for the Grand Daughter to take to shows. It is 2.3 auto with 70 thousand miles. She is 14 and spoiled rotten. She asked me for a horse and I am not taking care of one for her so I got her a Mustang. lol

Well, she didn’t specify what type of horse she wanted, so…..

A very good friend of mine in the mid 80’s had a red Mustang II that he was really proud of, and I showed my appreciation in his new paint job by promptly putting a huge dent in the drivers door…..on the day after he got it back from paint! (I didn’t put the e-brake on my car, and it slid down his driveway….). Never felt so low in my life, and I’ve always thought about making it up to him by buying him another one.

If your granddaughter ever decides she wants a real Mustang, and you decide to sell, I may just happen to “ “know a guy” and all that!

when my second son was born i saved some vacation time for the time
boss begged me to come in so the first week i worked 1/2 days 6 months later i quit and started my own biz
that was 12+ years ago was booked out the first week before i even opened have never been slow or looked for work or advertised ....but easy to just keep one or two helpers busy

What kind of work do you do? if you don't mind me asking.
 

Auto mechanic for 43 years
Worked for tire shops for 28
A couple in high end neighbor hoods
So did work on a lot of euro cars
The last job was for a high-end used car shop
Basically did all the repairs and run the shop
Had a helper but the was it
Learned a lot ...had a few good customers from there and did my own thing on the side
He bought a new place ...money got tight he got shady knew it was time to go...
One of my friends had a body shop
He said if you want ill hire you or rent you a bay...took the rental
3 years there and said you have to leave
My biz got too big for his lot and one bay
Bought my own shop...was a dump
But found out in nj you can't open a auto shop anywhere
So 9 years here it close to home
Best commute I ever had
And just about all the shops and advance and napa send me customers...so many dont want or know how to work on euros

I don't know how you can put up with the new cars with all the computer crap.
 
Its not that bad
Factory scanners walk you threw the diag
Same problems as old cars ..
Its the intermediate stuff that sucks
Paristic draws
Odd noises
And learning curve on new stuff
My sis is a PE i tell her you have it easy at least you know where all the parts are
