Late hood hinges

Anybody ever use later model hood hinges on an early car? My 65 has a slight bent torsion rod so the hood sits and closes all messed up. Can't really find it, car was hit before I got it and Hood was bent up.....

I used shocks from the back door of a Durango, works great
