2) If you cant' find work you are not looking hard enough. Flipping burgers is not beneath you till you find something better.
What if unemployment is paying $10 an hour and The Burger joint is paying $7.65? Do you take the Burger joint job?
Any way, The Manager for our group flew in from Az. yesterday, Today she gave everyone their paperwork with there termination date, and what they will be getting for their separation.
She didn't even call me into the office to talk. I'm a temp. Although I work as a full time employee, I get no benefits. I get no vacation, holidays, medical or dental ins. But I am employed by them. She could have said when my last day would be, or something.
Right now It's looking like July 3 will be the last day of work.
This will be the third time a business that I have worked for has closed.
It started in 2003 When Chevron took over Texaco. The Research Center here had at one time employed 1000 people, now the buildings sit empty.
Second was my Father in-laws Survey business. When the housing market took a dive, so did his business. He had to lay me off, close the business, and now he and my mother in-law live with me, and neither one have a job.
So now I'm getting ready to be layed off again.
Like you guys have said, keeping busy keeps you going.
