Once again Legendary proves to be worth the cost. 3 years ago I had Legendary make a set of factory pattern Bucket and rear seat covers in custom colors for my 70 Dart. No way to sugar coat it they cost alot when you added in matching custom color, factory pattern door and rear panels. When they arrived, they were beautiful and the result was a stunning interior. I then proceeded to take the car on two 6500 mile roadtrips in the summers of '23 and '24. At the end, a small seam tear had developed at the bottom outside edge of the driver's seat back. I took pictures and sent them to Legendary who encouraged me to strip off the seat back cover and send it to them. They decided that it was a failure that they would cover, repaired the cover with a new panel and I had them back in my hands in 2 weeks, looking perfect again. All I was out was the cost of shipping the cover to them. This kind of willingness to actually stand behind products that you make means I will never go anywhere else for interior products.

That piping location will always be a weak spot . Glad they covered it this time.

We hear a lot about poor product, and bad customer service. It is good to hear about companies that take care of their customers. I wish more people would post the good stuff companies do. It would make it much easier to pick where to spend money.

I am glad you had a pleasant experience because they totally fucked me over three times. Once on covers with the wrong stitching. And twice on wood grain door panels , Chrome cut wrong on corners and then the returned panels after they fixed them the chrome fell off in the bags. The hot glue or epoxy they tried to fix them with didn't hold . That was after they told me they replaced them with new panels.

The seats? I had the one seat in a car at Carlisle with arrows on bad stitching on the the seats . They had Event staff remove the arrows. I also have new covers here. Sets from over 10 years ago and a recent set. The material on the later set is a much softer stretchy and cheaper feeling. The older set is a much better quality stiff and durable. And yes I still have the junk they sold me if they deny it.

Looks like your seat cover ripped due to that cheap vinyl. It just stretches and tears. They were very hard to deal with at that time. Luckily I bought the door panels through "Dantes" He handled all the issues on the return. They lied through their teeth until we caught them. I had to send Dante my original panels for proof which they never returned. And then they did a repair that didn't hold instead of replacing them. I signed them and took a picture the it.

The excuse they gave me on the covers was . There is initials on the back of the covers. The person that sewed them was fired and he is the liable person. Yes it was a year long cluster **** on the seats on my own. And months through Dantes on the covers. But I was glad not to talk to anyone at legendary and let Dante handle it. Hope they sewed better material in that cover or it will rip again sliding out of the car. It stretches and tears

I had some problems with them too. They sent me poorly sewn bucket seat covers (stitching was separating on one side of the headrest pad, listing wire pockets missing) then tried blaming me and telling me I took the seat cover apart and tried sewing it myself. WTF. If I knew how to sew and had a machine, I would not have ordered their covers...

They also don't sew these the same as they did from the factory. this listing wire needs to be anchored to the panel where the seat medallions are attached. Ron said they don't do it that way and rely on the seat medallion to hold the seam down. I tried it that way and it did not look good. I had to glue the listing pocket down and then hand stitched it into place for reinforcement.

Anyway, after some arguing with Ron, finally got approved to send them back for repair. They paid shipping both ways on that one. Got them back and one of them was still not stitched right. Sent them back again. They didnt pay shipping to get the covers back to them this time. finally got the last cover back and got them installed. They look nice but I should not have had to go through what I did or pay out of pocket for them to fix their mistakes. I will avoid them at all costs for any future interior items I need.

I was gonna say the same. I think it would last a lot longer without that piping for your back side to push against when you get out. It's just in a bad sopt.

I have 50 year old seats here that have no damage at all. And 1 year old seat covers ripped at the seam behind the insert from down pressure. I would say they have more than a piping problem.

My door panels came with the chrome corners around the wood grain barn door corners in stead of 45'd . And the bottom pieces were seamed in the middle like they were using up the short pieces.

I called to have them replaced and they told me that the orange interiors came that way. To prove they didn't come barn door style I sent my original shot door panels to Dante so he could show them. Then I was told they would replace them. Thank the lord I bought them through Dante. No matter what he has your back. So I got them back and the corners were 45'd I thought great.

THEN! I sold the unfinished Duster project to a member on this site. The complete orange interior was still unused. I handed the buyer the bag with the door panels and the chrome was laying in the bottom of the bag. That interior is out of my hands, The seats did have the better stronger vinyl You can feel the difference .

I'll get some pictures of the black interior and seat covers they are all still here and all the original seats. That interaction was the worst. From Carlisle to Phone to Carlisle and they still stuck it right up my ***.

72 a body were the most comfortable seats. You would sink right in.

This is one reason why I advocate to go through a vendor for seat covers. Dante is a vendor, Legendary takes care of them first. They have a louder voice. A plus for me was that I didn't have to wait a year for my seat covers. Sorry that your chrome striping came off. So far so good on my '72 panels.
