How it going? I'm new to mopars and I've recently aquired a 74 gold duster with a slant six. I'm building budget a 383bb for it and I've already got a few questions about it. The block and heads are out of a 68 roadrunner, the heads have been port and polished and are running a 214 intake valve and a 181 exhaust. They have also been decked to lower the displacement of the bowl tho I can't remember how much. The cam I have is a hydrolic flat tappet with a 509 lift I can't remember the durations but I can find them on the card but I've been wondering if this is too big for the street because all the programs I've run don't have the power coming in till about 3500 rpm. I will be trying to get 10:1 compression with flat top pistons with 2 valve reliefs I was planing on running Keith black pistons 30 over but I've heard a lot of crap about them. The other thing that I've heard is to replace the connecting rods but I've also heard of people making loads of power and still running stock rods. I'm just looking to get 400 to 550 horse out of it and still have it streetable while still whoopin up on my uncle's camero. Any help is appreciated.
