I bought some aftermarket gauges at a good price. I want to make my own gauge cluster for my barracuda. I got the speedo, tach, fuel, amp, temp, oil gauges. Not sure what to use, sheet metal, plexiglass, wood. I also want to put the switches in the original places. I had a small piece of plexiglass & i tried to drill a 2 inch whole in it & all it did was crack. So maybe thats not a good idea.

Not done yet, but here's what's going in my 68. Have the aluminum part laser cut already, but have to move the headlight and wiper switch holes up on a new one. CAD picture will be the cluster and I'll be 3D printing it out of Nylon-X. It needs a little tweaking. Currently reshaping the left edge to fit that contour better. Also 3D printing a few mounts and a filler/mount for the area next to the glove box. It's laser cut 1/8" thick aluminum.

Thats going to look awesome. Im going to make one with what tools i have.

I hate the term Rat Rod So I'll just use beater. Low buck dash of miss match gauges. My 64 Dart was a desert car so anything plastic was turned to dust when I found it. Not pretty but works.Steering wheel was from a boat that a guy was scrapping. It did get a new wheel before the car was sold.

If you take your time, the 72' bezel provides a lot of room to get creative.
