Too many projects
Now that the weather has turned to crap, lets see those shops, carports, car tents, etc?
Mine is a mess (it always is) so don't be embarrassed if yours is.
It started out as a 24x20 with an 8' ceiling and one big door to get the cars in and out of (I would have to put one on casters and roll it over), and a 40A feed from the house.
About 10 years ago I added on 10' at the rear, making it 24x30, and could pull a car in the side (where the '57 Royal is). Then I added the small section where the woodstove is, then I added again where the metal lathe, tire machine, compressor, brake lathe and old Hemi's are. Then last year I decided I wanted a hoist, so the only way to expand was up. So I took the roof off, trusses down, and framed up 8 feet over the original 24x20 section. I welded up some square tubing posts and installed the huge beam, built the mezzanine for parts storage, and put the trusses back up and roof back on. I also ran 100A to the shop from a new 200A service to my carriage home out front.
The space behind the shop is full of parts cars.
Did it by myself, my helpers all seemed to be busy those days.
