Now that the weather has turned to crap, lets see those shops, carports, car tents, etc?

Mine is a mess (it always is) so don't be embarrassed if yours is.

It started out as a 24x20 with an 8' ceiling and one big door to get the cars in and out of (I would have to put one on casters and roll it over), and a 40A feed from the house.
About 10 years ago I added on 10' at the rear, making it 24x30, and could pull a car in the side (where the '57 Royal is). Then I added the small section where the woodstove is, then I added again where the metal lathe, tire machine, compressor, brake lathe and old Hemi's are. Then last year I decided I wanted a hoist, so the only way to expand was up. So I took the roof off, trusses down, and framed up 8 feet over the original 24x20 section. I welded up some square tubing posts and installed the huge beam, built the mezzanine for parts storage, and put the trusses back up and roof back on. I also ran 100A to the shop from a new 200A service to my carriage home out front.
The space behind the shop is full of parts cars.
Did it by myself, my helpers all seemed to be busy those days.

Here's a shot of the outside from a couple of years ago.

But you ain't gettin' to see the inside right now.
After rollin' 3 projects out of there in rapid (?) succession this year, it's an unmitigated disaster inside. I'll need to get FEMA on the job to get it cleaned up this winter.

24X66. Rear 30ft.... is raised roof [engineered trusses] and 2 storage hoists, plus a single bay. Front 36 ft is shop. Entire shop is heated, and rear has year-round dehumidification. The front is carpeted, with A/C.

24’ x 42’ that I’m insulating and wiring (lighting) right now. Hoping to have everything done by Halloween so I can move everything in before the snow flies.

Nice. Hard to tell the size, but the man-door sure puts it into perspective. Are those 12x 12 doors?

Yes, 12x12. The shop itself is basically 60' across the front, and 50' deep. I wanted to go taller, but the city wouldn't let me. It fits all my junk, with a little room to spare.

This is as far as I have gotten so far
They start putting up the building tomorrow
There is a 36x50 pad attached to the drive there

4 years now , and yes it's full as my wife and I treasure hunting for things to lell to MGM, and other television companies, interior decoration co and collectors now for 33 years on the side hustle.
And yes, a I live out in the sticks where I belong for 22 years now, my sons and I built the shop and the home I designed for our retirement, and yes, home is 1.000 square ft of bliss.

Here's my "oil change shop" (what my wife calls it!) with a view from out in front of it. Two 10x10 doors and one 18x12 door. 1700 sq ft interior dimensions and not nearly enough! 14' to the bottom of the trusses. But if I had had it built bigger, I'm sure I'd say the same thing so I'll just stay very grateful for what I have and enjoy it.

Nice looking buildings. Love those hip roofs.

My shop is just under 1500 sq ft and wish I made it bigger and taller. Built in 84 by my dad and me....last home construction job that we did together and it was a joy to do. 28 feet wide x 52 feet long....needed to be 4' longer at least too.

Good that you and your dad had quality time and good memories. After school I moved away for work and regret not spending more time with my dad.

No regrets with my dad other than me being a buthead for a while. lol. He and our friend helped with my house and shop. Very thankful for them but they are both gone now. The rafters and the plywood for my shops' roof came from our friend who I helped tear down his old house. Good memories.
