Let's see why my spark disappeared

Given the extent of the damage, the only repair I would trust would be a new circuit board. Which I haven't ruled out completely, but like coil per plug conversions, it would be a project for much later.

If this board's charging circuit is close to the design in that link, they are pushing the resistors in the circuit much closer to their rated wattage than I would care to run.
 

Still using points till I can't climb under the hood to service them. Then HEI conversion is the least painful way to go. Mount to bottom of stock distributor, too.
