Hello,
I have 383 GTS Dart I have owed since 1972.

I have few questions.
Where to go for a conversion to power steering?

What are the recommended solutions for header heat on a starter?

Thanks

You may be able to find the PS parts here on the board, if used is OK. You would need the power steering box and pitman arm, pump, pulleys, brackets and the shaft in your column would need to be changed out as it would need to be shorter.

A mini starter is a good choice for heat concerns from headers, ceramic coated heaters help too, I also wrapped the body of my starter with a stick on heat barrier that you can get from the auto parts store.

Welcome to the site, post some pics of the Dart.

I saw an interesting electric unit that fit under the dash while I was at Cruizin' the Coast. If interested pm me and I will send you the info when I get home, Joe

I have seen that too, that might be the easiest solution right there.

Is your car on the registry? My 383 GTS was sold at a dealership in Tennessee in the Knoxville area.

Welcome to FABO, and the mini starter is your best bet.
As for the steering conversion, Bad Sport has the right info in his post.
And yes, we need pics!
