Well, I’m not leaving. So are you? Because the last month was awesome.

Yeah, partially because my thread got locked. And partially because you keep saying the same thing a hundred times.
You should get a trophy for keeping riff-raff like me off the site.

And yet, you’ve failed to learn anything. Even as many other members have pointed out the same things that I have.

You got a 30 day ban and immediately resumed all the same behavior that got you banned. And started another thread trolling everyone here (that I never commented in!).

I will help pretty much anybody that asks. My inbox has hundreds of messages in it, mostly me answering questions for people. And I actually believe in preserving cars, and driving them, and enjoying low buck builds.

What I can’t stand is shoddy work for no reason. You could take the time and learn the skills you need. You could ask members here how to do things the right way. But instead you just relentlessly promote your shoddy work on a flip-job quick profit timeline, and that’s just not something I’m gonna let slide. You introduced the topic into this thread and others, hopelessly sidetracking some other poor members thread about how he wanted to do a low buck build!!!

You totally missed it. I got banned for pointing out that a mod misinterpreted what a member said. Another mod said he didn't and I said it was right there to see, which it was. Where the mod was wrong got deleted and the discussion got labeled as an arguement by the mod and I got 30 days.

You are not helpful to a segment of the hobby that are doing things that you would not do. People in different situations and different wants . Don't tell me what I need to learn. I know all about what some people consider the right way and I've done it.

Regarless of what you think about what I bring here, there is no excuse for your constant exaggerations and attacks on my character. I'll no longer defend myself and will let you have it.

this guy is laughable. he's a know nothing hack doing typical scumbag flipper con man work. total clown shoes.

do you know why he so vehemently defends his bobby bondo bullshit? because deep down he knows it's wrong and he knows that he's wrong for doing it.

there is clearly some type of break with reality to make somebody so delusional as to keep arguing their position when they've been proven factually wrong from every aspect and every angle, multiple times from multiple people.

just like his little time out, he fabricates reasons and excuses for his behavior.

and just like every other thread that he jumps into proselytizing his whole bobby bondo bullshit under the phony guise of "preservation" this one too will get shut down.

Tick tock

I was in the thread, I know exactly what happened. Clearly you haven’t learned from that experience either.

No person that knows a single thing about bodywork or metal repair considers what you’ve done the right way. You have no idea what you’re doing, and you have a lot to learn if you want to legitimately repair these cars. If you’re unwilling to learn, you shouldn’t be working on these cars.

Show me ONE source, a professional source (not YouTube!) that describes automotive metal repair using fiberglass, galvanized hardware store wire mesh, and 1/4” thick bondo as the right way to repair rusty bodywork. Books, manuals, product instructions, that sort of thing. From the current century. Thanks.

Yeah, too late for you to take the high road. I’ve got all your posts and comments, “constant exaggerations and attacks” describes your response every time I said your method of “repair” was doing more harm than good. And that’s a simple fact for anyone that knows anything about bodywork.

I have seen guys that takes decades, not years to get a car on the road or restored to some degree. So I had this motto, pop on my heard one day, many years ago, as I prompted myself to work at the task every chance I had. "Get it done, it may not be perfect. but do it best I can and what make sense". Well, there is a definite line between acceptable for most and boogered up, completely, but a car belongs to the owner, but like said, it can be a disservice if you sell it top anyone!

But a guy can go to buy a car done by the owner, in his gargae, no booth, lets say body/paint. The buyer complains because the topcoat has some "dirt"in it. not perfect, then he bitches because the seller did not spend 20 hours wet sanding and buffing a $5000 car!

I mostly agree with what you said but only a disservice to sell to someone without telling what you know about the car. I bought 6 Commando cars at a very good price with failed bondo repairs . They are probably the best bargain out there.

My car isn't for sale but if it were it would be a good bargain for someone that didn't want to spend a lot . And just like it wouldn't be practical to spend 20 hours buffing a 5000 dollar car it would not always be practical to put thousands of dollars of metal and time into a lower value car in the marketplace .

Stop trying to justify chicken wire and bondo. It’s NEVER ok.

no, no, see... he's trying to normalize the chicken wire and bondo hackery so that when he goes to sell the car it's totally acceptable.

"you see, because this isn't a high value car... and i've taken these steps of preservation.... this makes it a good value in the marketplace..."

just don't drive it regularly or the 1/4's will fall out of it.

It’s actually sad really. I see cars “fixed” (used very loosely, like big Cindy loose) like that and it hurts me because I know what’s hiding under it, and usually the car deserves a better owner. It’s like a pit bull that’s chained to a tree and bites anyone that comes near it.

Save me ! Save me from Mr. Kemper ! Look what he's done to me. What you guys really ought to do is call law enforcement and report me. It would probably make you feel better and keep me away from abusing these other cars I have around here.

sad. that paint could've been cut and buffed and that car would've looked great wearing battle wounds.

instead now it looks like a typical flip sitting on a buy here pay here conman lot, waiting for some unsuspecting fool to get taken for a ride by a charlatan that claims he's doing the hobby a service.

And even better the longer it sat outside with water running in the holes and getting the debris wet and rusting away.
Probably should have left those quater top mouldings with the rusted out clips bowing in the air too. Water running down in those clip holes would have only added to it.
And of course I should have just buffed over the hole in the front of the hood and let that continue to draw moisture till the hood would need replaced.

But dummy me risked being called a con man and now I have this good looking car that willl last a long time because I took that chance. You know what's important, that's for sure.

i have thoroughly enjoyed your snake like twists and turns justifying these hacky, nonsense repairs and constantly moving the goal posts.

it really shows your true character. i just hope whoever you try and pawn this abomination off on sees both you and it for what it really is.

Your post is right there to see. There is no hiding your opinion on what I should have done. It shows just how out of touch you are with situations. Let me post it again here. Notice the CB antenna holes that you would have buffed over -

LAUGHABLE

why would i hide my opinion? why would you even think i would need to hide it?

a delusional hack who favors chicken wire and bondo over a correct repair telling somebody else that they're out of touch? that's rich, even by your standards.

you ruined a car that could've been great. further, you've made any future repairs even more difficult. just adios'd all the beautiful original paint in the name of your fundamentally flawed and hacky "preservation". so sad to lose another one to the clutches of a person with a deranged sense of self worth.

It probably should be taken away from me.

My car is looking so good I think I'm gonna take the chain off the pit bull and put it on my car. A guy can't be too safe.

You sir win a cookie today for your well thought out and rational argument.

I'm sure he won the hearts of all the racers on this forum with this one-

" you ruined a car that could've been great. further, you've made any future repairs even more difficult. just adios'd all the beautiful original paint in the name of your fundamentally flawed and hacky "preservation". so sad to lose another one to the clutches of a person with a deranged sense of self worth.
