I'm like Tom on this one....STEAK....and a big baked potatoe with of course a few brews.
My opinion is that one should do one of those cleanouts at least once a year. I'll admit i cant get far from the pot cause it really works.

Had it done 4 years ago,

for those that never want it done, as you get older unless you have a death wish, you might change your mind. I understand the pain of colon cancer is one of the worst types of cancer you can have.

Really the day before is the worst. I don't remember anything once they put the gown on me and started to put me out. Even after I don't remember much difficulty.

As far as what to eat, lots of red meal is not good for colon, so eat in moteration, why load up that clean colon the 1st day

Good Luck, hope it turns out empty and you don't need another for 10 more years

That one thing I'm wondering about? most of the people that have it done especially in the States have been knocked out for this not me:angry7:

Good luck. Been there done that 3 times. Not bad. I am used to it. They drug you up real good. You wont remember being violated! Lol!

Good to have ya back DRENO  It's all be hind ya know :-D

Well it wasn't too bad.But they threw a wrench at me when they said they were going to do a gastroscopy as well.I told I didn't know anything about it.She said it was on the notice.I was in kinda goofed up when they started shovin the tube down my throat.I stated gaggin all lot.of course they told me to settle down,I couldn't tell them to piss off:angry7: with this thing in my mouth so I sucked it up and settled down.Next thing I know I kinda wake up to,you guessed it,someone trying to get in the back door.Shortly after that i went out again.
Dr. came and saw me after wards to say he removed several polyps and that I would be hearing from him later.O goody!
I was still a lil groggy when I got home so I had a nap. They said I should eat something with a soft texture so I ended up with Kraft dinner,geez.:angry7:
They also said no driving for 24 hours, well they're wrong there, cause I can't afford to be away from work any longer,so it's back to work tomorrow.8)

Well I got my chores dun and was wondering how things was going so I had a cold one earlier for ya, It's going to be an early night for me so you be good and don't over do it, Scrambled eggs and spinach I dare ya hehe!. I love the stuff myself =P~

I had both tests done at the same time as well a few months back...While under the drugs, I think I said something like" I'm glad your going in the front end first!Anyway, no matter how bad the test is, it provides alot of info, and saves lives.
P.S. I was quite goofy after the procedure and told my wife to take me to the Dairy Queen, and ordered a large banana cream pie blizzard. It was the best tasting thing I ever had!
Hope all the tests come back ok.
Mark:cheers:

Just wondering how old you are. I am 47 and my doctor hasn't recommended anything yet. Is there an age that this "should" be done. When my turn come I am eating a a bunch of my wife Santa-fe Chicken Chili. Flushed out or not that stuff will remind them of what they are messing with.:bootysha:

Glad to see you back Dreno.......It's my turn to see the 'ol saw bones tomorrow. One reason is kinda similar to yours.....well not really, butt the same area:toothy10:.Lately when I take a dump it feels like I swallowed a bunch of thumb tacks the night before...Yikes!!!. The second thing is I was trying to knock out a broken shear pin on my rotavator and kinda hit my hand with the hammer instead of the punch:angry7:. I thought I was a slow typer before..
So now it hurts to sh*t and it hurts to wipe my a$$

That's weird they knocked me out for the gastroscopy but not the rear entry maybe the specialist doesn't like me:bootysha: They did give me something intravenously but I could still could feel it:angry7:

I must say its when they come with what I swear must be 10ft of hose its quite alarming.

I'm 57.I actually asked my doc about this 4-5 years ago and he said he didn't see any reason for it.My brother prompted me to ask,he lives in Ann Arbor,MI. and says the usual age to have this done is 50 years.I would advise you consult with your Dr. I did see one post that interested me about doing this once a year just to clean all the crap outa your system.BTW that chicken sounds mighty good=P~

Thanks retsud. Your problem sounds worse than mine.I was in because of my blood levels. Not sure what the hell they are talkin about but I trust my Dr.How many times have we hit ourselves with a hammer ,eh?:angry7:Lost a few nails in my time, lol.I don't know if I could but you might consider going southpaw for the cleanup.:toothy10:Got too much sleep yesterday,up at 4:30 this morning so what do I do?Check out FABO,lol.:-D

Hey Dreno, glad to here everythings O.K.I guess I,m gonna have to have a talk with the Doc. about some inspection LOL.I don,t have any problems to speak of,but I guess it,s an age thing?Best to be on the safe side cause I don,t need any sudden surprises.Hope your feeling better.

I had this procedure done last spring. I too agree that the clean-out is the worst part. I was totally knocked out and I had absolutely no after effects. They DID clip a few polyps which entitles me to a repeat procedure next spring.

Lucky me.....
:bootysha:
