Lost a friend

-
Sorry to hear about your friend Snake. On my trip yesterday,I went to see my friend who also was a big beer drinker. He now has colon cancer and the Dr. has given him 6 months. He looks twice his age since I seen him at christmas. He,s taking chemo now and has the gumpchun to beat this evil.I just hope it,s not too late, for the sake of his 18 yr old daughter that lives with him.:prayer:

Sometimes you don't know how much you miss someone until they are gone forever, then its too late to tell them that you love them. Sounds like a tough loss, may he rest in peace.

That really sux snake, I lost a friend to alcohol too.

He was a fun guy to hang with but would fist fight you for is keys....

He was also left handed and that along with the alcohol killed him

He was driving down armstrong ave in fresno messing with his radio 'right hand' and his left hand pulled the wheel to the shoulder of the road which is about 1ft diff to the dirt, it took his car into a rail road tie fence and then into some chain link fence that had a cement curb that ran the perimeter ....he didnt have belt on and was ejectd through the rear window, hitting his head on that concrete...the only concrete within 50 ft.....it killed him instantly.

his name was Brad dixon.

Im really sorry for you pain and loss, I know how you feel.

Hey Snake,I just saw the thread. Im VERY sorry for your loss Bud. He sounds like a real good friend, the kind you can trust you to get in a bit of fun now and then. I had a friend like this, but lost him to an accident when I was 17.

So John, please rest in peace and know you are safe in Gods hands.

Sorry for your loss. The older I get the more bad news I get. Its tough but I guess it's the way life is. Take care.

Thankssss guys, what is making it so hard is looking over at the house he once lived in we shared the driveway so close that if he took a dump I could smell it lol.I knew john when I was a kid,So when Cindy and I look at this house knowing he lived next door it was a no brainer to buy than spent 6 years together,Christmass eve,new years eve, birthdays all that stuff,Dam John I told ya I did not want to ever go to your funeral ******* booze.Sorry to keep caring on but I hurt big time.

Thanks brother .

More than welcome. You probably know about my nephew from a couple weeks ago. I did my share of venting too.

The only thing that helps is time and sometimes it takes lots of it depending on the circumstances.

In my case in this order:

A. Angry
B. Sad
C. Truly Grieve
D. Accept
E. Remember the good times

I lost much of my family and good friends plus pets. It sucks but it is what it is. No one gets out of this life alive.

I heard something today that makes a tremendous amount of sense and I hope I don't mangle it but it goes something like this:

"What we do for ourselves gets buried with us. What we do for others lives on."

I can only hope that this helps makes a bit of sense of what happened and helps ease your soul some. Feel free to contact me if that might help.

Ramcharger Joe
