Got in a spare head, an oil pan, Oregan cams cam, gaskets, two barrel manifold for the 225. That is going together on the engine stand. Out comes the 170! Also, have bored out the exhaust manifold to 2 1/2" and will replace exhaust all the way out. Lots of small tweaks to the 225, including appearance, will be painted the Chrysler Green.

Got a Jeep D35 Rear end out of a wrangler, so far looks like just need to weld perches on it and cut off Track bar brackets to make this work. Maybe some U joint finagling. Adding at least one more leaf out back, and going with bigger torsion bar up front,

Dr Diff front disc conversion kit on it's way, so all BBP all the way around.

15" torque thrust wheels.

the 15" wheels and higher stance will protect the oil pan from future holes in it on our Hawaii lava country roads. Has almost no ground clearance, can't get my floor jack under the K member as is now!

Should make a major difference in use-ability of this vehicle for me here in Hawaii.

What island are you at? I've been to Maui, Oahu and the Big island of Hawaii on different vacations. Wonderful part of paradise. Keep some pictures coming on your adventures.

Nice parts car for a 2 door . You should all be happy 1869383valiant or I didn't find it first.

If you lived closer I would take them! See the valiant in my avatar- I would love to have a matching 4 door.

My wife really has me changed my mind on four doors, she loves the looks more, and the fun we get to have with them driving around the island is so much fun, and the 68 is such a crowd pleaser here. No matter where we go, the car is surrounded by folks. When I am done with it, will be more so.

I usually don't strip 4 doors. Only when there is a car here that needs the parts. Some members cringe when I post cars I strip.

But there are times it is not totally my decision. The Valiant was Daves. There were cudas that were Todds. The dart was mine but it saved me money on the parts I needed for the Demon. I actually made money and parts. I offered it to anyone who would pay what I paid for it minus the hood $2500. I had no takers only complainers with empty pockets.

Have fun with your car . That is what its all about Steve

I am not a purist, I don't cringe over metal, unless it's totally irreplaceable and without a good reason.

If I find a 67 valiant four door that I can get to Hawaii though, it will be mine though! I would paint it identicle to the race car and go with whatever stock motor came with it
