Hi Folks

Can anyone one advise if there are some sort of a fibrous washers or what not between the lower control arm and the torsion bar socket (In the swivel area). Buddy before me laid the Por15 pretty heavy in this area and I'm not sure if the chunks I'm digging out of there are paint or remnants or possible washers?

Thanks

Sorry, I don't have a pic handy.......The torsion bar socket is sandwiched between the front and rear face of the lower control arm. I am wondering if there are fibrous washers on each side of the socket that rub on the front and rear face of the control arm, or is it metal to metal.

Metal to metal.

And you’ll need to remove any and all paint from the sockets and hex ends of the torsion bars to get them to fit properly. A light coat of grease at the LCA end is all that’s necessary. Even too much grease can keep the bars from going in all the way. At the crossmember end there can be extra grease to fill the boot.
