McDonalds and taxes

over 1 Billion served @ .02 = 2 million dollars

pays for about 5 ski trips to Vale for executives lol

Look at it the other way. over

1 Billion served @ -.02 loss = 2 million dollar loss for Mickey D's.

I wonder how long before this happens in the states,...the penny mint will prolly be the next thing to shut down cause of our LAME *** GOVERNMENT...

I am sure that it will happen because the cost was already is almost 2 1/2 times the face value in 2011.

"As of 2011, it costs 2.41¢ US (or $0.0241 US Dollars (USD)) to make a penny."

"To be precise, it cost 2.4 cents to make one penny in 2011 and about 11.2 cents for each nickel."

A bill to do away with the American penny was introduced in 2001 and in 2006.

Do you rememver when 5 bucks would make you sick at McDonalds,....Oh wait,...you still can,...

Do you remember when McDonalds used to advertise "Change back from your dollar"?

A regular hamburger, fries, and a drink was 95¢, and no tax.

I stopped eating there after I found out what is in their food also on my last visit again few years ago they charged for sauces wtf really go to Jack in the box or Carl's Jr and they taste better and will fill a bag of sauce if you want it lol

Ah didn't know that I have never been there. That really sucks they are the only two I trust anymore.

McDick's was giving away coffee for the last few weeks in Manitoba, we would send the secretary down every morning to pick up 6 of them.

Boycott them, and just go for the free coffee. I got 2 small double doubles, so I wouldn't have to pay for a large. Sometimes you have to get creative to screw the system.

If the shoe was on the other foot pretty sure the OP would not feel this way......just saying....

yup....hamburger, fries..and drink less then a dollar...and they did not round up...

back in late 60s early 70s...

lol Ink, I would prefer they just charge me $1.70 straight up, and get it over with. I think I said something to that effect.

On a side note, I've signed up for a cooking class so I can learn how to make coffee and cook a hamburger.

:glasses7:

I was not hatched til 1966 so.......

I got my first car in 1965.

It was a 57 Ford 2 door with a straight 6, 3 on the tree, and 85,000 miles on the odo, and in very good condition.
The price: $25.00

Since I only made $30.00 a week, at the time, I had to make that $25.00 in two payments. I put $10.00 down on the car, for that the owner took the "for sale" sign off the car. the following Friday I went over and paid the other $15.00, and the owner (a Gulf gas station owner) filled the tank with gas, checked all the fluids, and the battery, and drove the car 2 blocks down the street to my house.

I was 15 years old at the time and didn't have a driver's license, yet. ;)

I remember when you bought a new car and you got a full tank of gas with it because they took it and filled it up. Now you are lucky to get 2 gallons.

ut-oh... Now you've dated yourself! lol

Yes, a December 1957 model.

I do too, but doing that now is like giving you an extra $100.00 off the price of the car! lol

No need to go to a class, just go to Costco and get some of them frozen Angus burgers that you toss into a microwave.......and there is always instant coffee....

Turned 63 years last December.
