Why do folks put up a gate, complete with an electronic contraption to open/close it, when on either side of it they do not put up anything to stop folks from going around it? Several areas I pass thru on the bike have several residents that have this set-up....I no comprehend.....

Yup...if we go down the one road that some of them are on today I will take some pictures....some of these folks with these gates around here are not strapped for cash....there houses are monsters....

If they put it close enough to the road it stops people from shining their windows at night when using their driveway to turn around and it will stop some from driving up to the house .
