I decided to break a few bones in my foot last night. I guess that I am getting too old to do wheelies. LOL I'm going to see an Orthopaedic Specialist in about an hour. The X rays showed two broken bones and another one shattered. Hopefully they don't have to cut me. The good news is that I have excellent insurance and Short term disability.

And yes I wearing my boots with a shank in them, armor jacket, gloves and helmet. My wallet took all of the damage to my ***.

So...we're waiting to hear the story.

OW!!! That's going to turn such pretty colors.
So...we're waiting to hear the story.

I decided to go for a ride last night up one of the most beautiful canyon roads anywhere. I turned around and was starting to head home. I pulled the front end (trying to be cool) I shifted into second and hit a small dip in the road and the motorcycle went back too far, hit the tail light housing, and laid it over on my foot. I was only doing maybe 35 mph. I have done hundreds of wheelies over the years and this has never happened. No more wheelies for me. :D

The doctor couldn't believe that I rode it all the way to the emergency room, shifting with my hand.

My goodness Badart, That does hurt :banghead: and it will heal
BUT!! You do know it does take allot of time and some toe ups will be required :-k
Keep us updated and do not take pain meds unless needed.
You may as well close the tool box for a while and heal or you will regret not letting it heal..

Why do I think I am going to see you in a med boot and out in the garage :-k against doctors orders, Remember, This is your foot and an extremity :shaking2: so this will take time ......
and you will need it when you are my age :D

So does it hurt when I do this ? :poke: Just joking..

Sorry you got hurt. I didn't think they could do anything for broken toes.

Looks sore. It will heal. Sometimes wheelies don't work out. ](*,)

Sorry to hear this Badart.... and it does look like it hurt's, but I'm sure
you'll be back on feet in no time. Just curious..... what did your
wife say, when you returned home?

That sure looks like it hurts! I hope you take it easy and let it fully heal before you try doing anything else wild and crazy. I wish you a speedy and full recovery!!

Wheelies?? At first I thought you were out testing the Cuda . . . lol . . . that's gonna leave a mark. Back in the late 70's, I had a similar injury when I dropped a steel plate on my left foot. Xrays also showed 3 broken toes. Only difference was I split the smallest toe wide open and it needed a bunch of stitches. Back then they said there wasn't much they could do with toes, just stay off them for a couple weeks. They wrapped the foot up, handed me crutches, and sent me home. Good luck, heal fast. Rog

Sorry you got hurt. Glad you have lot of wheelies to remember. Follow Dr.'s orders, chronic foot pain is no joke.

That,ll buff out. lol Someone had to say it.Use it to the hilt. Let the family pamper you.Get well soon.

OUCH John! A shattered bone is serious stuff. Give it all the time needed to heal properly.

Maybe your next idea will show itself while you are recuperating.

Wow! That looks painful.
Heal soon, and follow doctor's orders to a ''T'' or you will regret it.

John, Sorry to hear of your injury. It's no fun being on crutches and you will be for a while. I know from personal experence.

I like doing wheelies on my bike but it's a large bike (Triumph Rocket III Roadster) and I'm not a real big guy. After seeing your foot I think I will lay off the wheelies. Let it heal before doing anything strenuous. Take care buddy!

Well the doc in the ER last night said shattered but the surgeon just said one bone is split two ways. I had an MRI done today and the doc says that everything still lines up, but we will have to wait and see when the swelling goes down. So hopefully there will be no cutting. I plan on being healed up in 5 weeks for archery hunting season. :D

BTW I installed axle sliders and frame sliders on the bike so damage is minimal. Bent shifter lever, broken kick stand base and ripped of the license plate holder.

OUCH!!! I don't wanna be a downer, but shattered bone usually means they'll cut ya....
I hope not. Kick back and just let it heal.
