Thought about bringing some parts to unload, but nowadays, it seems like parts dont sell at shows unless they are cheap, like minimum 1/2 of normal value

I'm thinking about bringing some too, but not sure yet. The last really good thing I sold at a swap meet was a set of Indy slots at Farmington! Rest of it has been pretty much ol junk I'd never use. That's the majority of what you see laying there anymore.

There’s less and less deals at the swap meets these past few years. Old crusty exhaust manifolds off of a 340 aren’t worth $800. Open 8.75 chunks aren’t worth $600. Crusty 4spds aren’t worth $1500. Bell housings aren’t worth $600.

The problem is less that people aren’t buying as much as it is the junk is overpriced.

I'm leaving at 4 AM to go to the show. I'll see y'all 7:30-8:00ish. Depends on how long the drive thru line at Bojangles in Wadesboro is the time I get there!

Man, I'd love to bring my car there all the way from Minnesota but no way I can make that happen. I bought my car from Rockingham, NC on ebay in 2013. The old owners used to drag it at Rockingham dragway all the time, back in the day. That would be a lot of fun!

Got back from The Rock around 4 PM. Good show today and a good turnout in the swap meet. I got to talk to @Mtrhead @Tsully @barracudakid . I saw @mikebee but he was busy with customers, so I didn't want to interrupt him. I scored a few treasures....got a set of spool motor mounts for a 340/360, a new REM trunk mat for a 67-69 Dart, a mint 904 dust cover, and an LD340 intake at such a good deal (nowadays) that I couldn't pass it up. It has been hogged out to run a spreadbore. Hack job, but it will clean up. The guy I bought the motor mounts from had an LA 360 block on a stand, plus all of the internals, heads and stuff on hand. He had it priced at $200 with the stand, OBO. Dude wanted rid of everything and encouraged people to make offers. I started to offer $100 but I was afraid he'd take it! Hope someone else got a good deal on it. It was a good show to end the year on.....and I'll be back there for the Spring Mopars at The Rock show in 2026. The new track owners are Mopar guys, and have breathed much needed life back into the facility.
