I've seen that green barracuda at a burnout contest a few years back, it was capable of doing a strong burnout and sounded fine. That was at least 3-4 years ago though.
Hey! You missed the best deal on Montana's Craigslist... mine. I have one guy supposedly coming back after the 4th but otherwise no takers at $5995. Maybe time to try $5500.
 
Yeah, I new you had it posted here so I didn't want to double it. :). Your car is worth what you are asking. I think the problem is whe live in ford country near Chevy land.

I guess it would depend on whether you have the ability to do the stuff by yourself and how bad you want a racecar. It isn't anything to drop 5k to have a shop build a 383. Then start adding on for trans, rear, cage, tilt front end, etc... 12k could be a deal when you start paying $70+/hr shop rates.

Paint job for my barracuda has been estimated at $7500 for final prime, block, seal, base coat, clear coat. 4300 of that is labor. Needless to say, that ain't happening anytime soon. Gonna finish it and find someone to spray it. Unfortunately my father did it for years without proper ventilation and now can handle the fumes without getting violently ill.
