When people ask why I STILL live in California? Parked amongst the Prius’, minivans(mine included) and teslas.

No doubt, Calif. still has a super strong car culture, and we all cheer that. We have to give them credit with their high cost of gas, taxes, r/e, and all the other negatives of that state!

They are still out there. A friend bought this one just a few miles from his house. Not only is it a Charger, it's a Hemi car.

You can see another car under the outboard Pacer rear sheet metal.

Wonder how you get in that thing? Must be a door on the other side, or climb in the tilt up windows !
Needs a sliding van door conversion.
There is something inside you can't make out from first photo.
Waste of a good MR-2 if it is. I kinda recognize that from what I see. MR-2 a fun little car itself.
Neat anyway.

I second the 300z comment.

Probably needed the T tops to slide in under that "over-body".

I killed a gen 1 mr2 as a field car
Thing kind of sucked in the dirt
Would have been better as a fishbowl car

We took two completely rotten Ohio Pacers that John Cox and I just picked up (‘a 78 and a ’79), skinned them, and mounted the back halves on out team’s old 1991 Toyota MR2. It had been sitting in my woods for years, and was also in rough shape. It needed a clutch, brakes, tires, the seized calipers freed up, and the serious varmint infestation removed. I even found a 5 foot snakeskin in the passenger floorboard!

Less than 3 weeks later, we raced the #Fishbowl at New Jersey Motorsports Park in The 24 Hours of Lemons, where it turned very fast laps and won the Organizers Choice!
AMC Pacer #Fishbowl

I drove a 1st gen "Mister two" when they first came out circa 1985.
One of my friend's dad bought one to go golfing in.

Was fun in the corners, but you had to get the 4 cyl pretty high in the RPM band to get any power.

I called it a Ferrari Jr.
