Mopars in the Wild

-
I had a 69 Coronet 440 in that same color, but it was a 4-door. Bought it around 1995 at Ft Stewart, GA for $1,000. It was it great shape, had 318/auto and I found some Cragar S/S's with BFG's at a yard sale for another $200 and put them on it and added dual exhaust. I got tons of looks and comments everywhere I went in that car. Some dumbsh-t soldier bought it from me when I had to PCS to Korea and he trashed it within 3 weeks thinking he had a race car and playing "Duke of Hazard" with the car. Thats one reason why I am so choosey about who I will sell a car to now.
BTW, I love this thread and at the same time, it depresses me to see some of the autos condition.

I found some more.

Had a tailgate hinge let go on the F150 last night (wtf?), so, a trip to CIA had to be worked in today. Was a quick trip, so only one Mopar this time.. '69 Dart Custom.

Sad to see one of my all-time favorite A-bodys in this state. (On the plus side, they gave me the hinge for free)

Also, no picture. But in the shed were two 1953 Chryslers with 331 HEMI's that were bought by his Grandpa brand new too.

And on another note, the 69 Coronet I posted above has been saved and is on its way to South Dakota on Tuesday.

The yard won't sell whole cars.. :angry7: If they did, I'd be down there bugging them every day until I left with this Scamp. It DROVE in there!

More later. :toothy10:

Do you think the 67 Barracuda is still there? I would pay for the exhaust cutout for the big exhaust outlet. Just cut a couple inches around it. LMK, Stan

^ What he said. Frickin AWESOME car.

Cool stuff as always, J-mac.. that's a '64 Imp, though (split grille).

And Hyper-pak, I'll check next time I'm down there. You mean the blue fastback, right?

I'm starting to think that this junkyard should hire me on commission or something. :-D

Here are some shots I took at a NC sales lot

Hey sublime green, in your 2nd post, there is a picture of that notchback Barracuda with the rear window trim still on it. Isn't that trim really hard to find?

Here's a couple more I've seen recently. The Dakota convertible looks like it's brand new.
