Metro DC is very expensive but there are a million things to do within a 3 hour drive. You can ski in the winter and go tuna fishing in the summer. If you take a job in Bethesda I would recommend living west out toward Hagerstown..... cheaper housing. Living near your son in Va and commuting would be a huge mistake in commuting time and cost. Md does not tolerate handguns well. Don't tell them you got 'em. I've lived here all my life so I guess I learned to tolerate the bs. The state is run by Democrats.
