my 68 barracuda notch

-
Got the car home from having the panels aligned and the final polish done on it.It was actually the first time I was able to drive it even though it was just around the block it was a nice feeling after all the work that has gone into it.It was just above zero C and it started up no problem.
Going to try and get the grilles installed later on as well as the tail panel trim.

I am sure happy with the color when I see it out in the sun.

on the weekend I was able to get the grilles and tail panel trim installed.Pulled her outside to run for a while and take a few pics.
Should have the seats back from the upholstery shop later in the week.

thanks for the comments guys!!!
it is finally all coming together.I can't wait till next summer.Gonna go on some long cruises in the old cuda!!

Steve,
the color I am sorry to admit started out as a Ford color that we mixed several renditions of to get this color. The color was 2012 Ford W6 with a little yellow added and all the fine metalflake was replaced with a courser flake.Looked at about a dozen colors before picking this one.

I have been busy with the interior the last couple days. Also put the finishing touches done with the stereo.I put two 6x9 and two 4inch in the package tray so they are hidden and the package tray looks stock.I used the rear defrost vents for grilles for the 4 inch speakers.I also tucked in two 12 inch subs under the package tray.
The stereo unit will be hidden in the console. It is a MP3/am/fm unit that is run by remote control.
I have always been a sucker for loud music so it had to have the stereo.
Here are a few pics from the last couple days.

Very cool!! Love the idea of the defrost vents! My cuda was orig an F8 green I believe and gonna go with that, I thought your color was close??

If you put a drop base on your air cleaner and put a thicker filter on to make the difference back up you'll probably get around the power drop when the Cleaner was installed....use a K&N filter or similar to maximise air flow.

finally got the seats put in and the last few details done.
Took it to the alignment shop the other day and got er line up and inspected.Because it came from out of province it had to have a certified inspection.
I sure hope spring comes early!!!
I did a nice smoky burnout on the cement outside the alignment shop.It sure felt good after dreamin about it for years.
I got a buddy that is going to give it a final polish next week and wax it.
Getting ready for the World of Wheels show in Calgary Feb 22.
I hope to meet some other FABO members there as well.
Anyone on the Forum going to the show.

Oh yeah,I apologise for not doing a vid of the burnout.
