This is my new find a 71 dart 318 904 8 1/4 rear. the body needs some work but hey what old dart dont need some body work . but i got two new 1/4's that went with the car. now what to do with it ?? well i have got a 8 3/4 rear i have got an 340 an a 440 an have 727 for both oh i got an 727 tran in the deal to . the guy was thinking it was an 904 . he ask me if it was an 904 and after looking at it and seen it was a 727 i said yea its a 904 . i know that was wrong but hey he said he worked on cars all the time . he should have know what it was. but i did gave him what he was asking 2500
so what to do with this car ????

No challenge here i love doing all the metal work!! an body work.
if we ever get the snow to go way so i can get my sons dakota out of the garage so i can get the dart in so i can do some work on it. i like the idea of a 440 in her but on the other hand a 340 would be great to.
 
Well i have got one 1/4 panel on the dart now . looks good still need to do some more work to it but still looks good and some work was done to the top also . more to come soon..

Sweet. Only one more to go! Are you going to keep the gold or go with a different color?
 
i am going to go with a new color. with white or off white insides it hard to find a cool color .
 
i think i am going to go with a light yellow on it with a black strip on the back. this is the color.

Well i got the right 1/4 panel on looks very good not done with it run out of gas for the welder still looks good .. going to buy some more parts next week as soon as some money i got out of my 401K got to spend it i as not letting my kidds spend it , some headers some new tires an some other stuff. some pics soon.....:cheers::cheers:
 
I really like the Gold. I'd go with what was stock and add a black stripe and top.
 
If you want a color combo how about FM3 Moulin Rouge with black top/or stripe and black gut? I suggest this color combo everytime someone asks.
 
Well got to talk to my engine bulider today for about two hour. loooooooooong talk. we when over alot of things from big blocks to small blocks cams pistons heads rods what would be good and not good. so after a long talk we came up with a 377 small block with a 904 . this is the 2nd engine with this engine bulider the 1st one was a very great and very strong engine.. it was a 371 best time for it was 12.03 this is the engine in my old dart.
