Nice work though.Smog heads?..
Definitely some great looking port work. Hate seeing problems arise like that when you have that much work in them. Any chance on being able to powder feed gas weld the hole up? Care to share the casting number?
Show me the SSR!!!!!![]()
That amount of porting on OE iron def falls into the “no thank you” category for me.
Okay..... who am I trying to kid.
I don’t really want to port any iron heads that far......OE or otherwise.
What does it flow?
So you ported a scrap pile head ? The W2's should make a nice winter project.
I forget what the exhaust did but the intakes were 270 at .500 and they dropped to 258 at .600 and stayed there. That's on a 2.02 intake and 50 degree seat. That's at 28 inches.
What made me real happy was reverse flow. I don't remember the exact numbers but they flowed way less in reverse.
I also tested them at 42 inches and they did very well there too. I can't recall those numbers but doing the math I lost very little from 28 to 42 inches.
I'm fighting off a migraine. I'll try and get the casting numbers and SSR in the morning. I'm fixing to take some migraine dope and that will put my lights right out.
I have 3 sets of J’s here waiting to go under the knife.
None will be getting anywhere near that much work.
I’m more into the “most for the least”, no holes/no epoxy type jobs.
I tell myself this every time, then it goes off the rails.
