My search for a shorty D100 is over

I have a C body housing at home. I can measure in the next few days. If correct width, I can throw in the truck and give it to out at Bonneville. I know thats not for a while, but still.

And a truck D60
That would be awesome. I’m going to baby the 8-1/4 as long as I can but I really can’t see it living a long happy life in a 3600lb truck on drag radials.

I think it is backing plate to backing plate measurement Id need. And spring perch width. Sorry, lots of drugs right now post op

Had a little time mid day and ran home to work on the truck. I wired up the nos controller to function as a WOT switch and tested it. Works great. Loaded up two blue bottles, bottle heater and put together a tool box with carb parts and n20 jets. I think I’m about ready. Saftey gear, tools, extra parts, and an easy up. Let’s go racing.

Good morning from Pomona.

Had an incredible day at the mooneyes Christmas party hangin out with great car people and got to make passes at the world famous Pomona drag strip. Best run of the day is on the slip. I’m 9875 right lane. I walked it out of the hole gingerly all the way through first, you know because 8-1/4 diff life. Then poured the coals to it after the 1-2 shift and activated the nitrous. I’m surprised the truck did this well, after all I did drive it 40 miles to the track, made two passes and drove it home. All of the spider gears in tact believe it or not. My girl took lots of photos and videos so as soon as I can get those I put em up
