Someone on here had an SRT Magnum wagon for sale at a very reasonable price a few weeks ago. My wifes 5.7 Charger gets 25 when your foot aint in it. I'll bet the V6's get at least 30 and plenty of room. Are you talking "NEW" or "New to You"? You should be able to come away with a pretty nice auto for $25000. Shouldn't be too tough.

I had an 06 Ford Fusion SE,was a 5 speed 4 cyl.It got amazing gas mileage,plenty of room like the Taurus with the rear seats folding down and the front pass seat moved forward,I could put a 10ft 4x4 in it and close the trunk.Only problem was going through tiny brake pads.8)Alliall it was a great all around family vehicle.

Had a Liberty a few years ago,now my daughter has it.She loves it.Roomy,lots of power,handles well,good on rough roads.Looks sporty,that's one thing she really likes.My wife wants a new one,Jeeeeez!8)
